THE WOODSHOP OF TEXAS
The Woodshop of Texas
was founded in 1996 out of a burden to reclaim and recycle wood such as
Heart Pine and native hardwoods that were being hauled to the landfills
all over the country.

By salvaging these vintage materials,
we
have saved millions of yards of space in our landfills today. In many
areas of our country, the government is offering incentives to builders
and homeowners that use “green” products in their projects. By using this
green alternative, you will be saving trees as well as precious landfill
space.
Today, our company employs
26 people
and we inventory over 1.3 million board feet of reclaimed lumber which
would have otherwise been buried in a landfill. Once the lumber is on
site at our milling facility, we do everything we can
to
use 100% of the product we salvage. We collect the shavings produced by
our machines and distribute them to several local horse stables that use it
for bedding. We even recycle our sawdust to help local companies with
spills and clean ups.
We are dedicated
to providing our customers
with quality materials and the finest workmanship possible. We strive to
be good stewards of the natural resources God created even if that means
extra effort, time, and cost. We are bound to Christian principles,
morals, and ethics in all aspects of our company, our relationships with
our employees, our financial dealings, and our customers.
