You would expect nothing less
out of a business called “The Woodshop” than to have all the toys you had
in woodshop class (and then some). We operate an on-site, full-service
milling facility.
We have metal detecting equipment,
industrial size saws, rip saws that
clean the edges, surfacers that clean the faces, shapers, specialty radius
cutting saws, distressing equipment and molders that run our flooring
pattern. Our saws can cut a timber up to 36”x36” any length, and our
planers can handle boards up to 31” wide. The 12” high speed molder cuts
the tongue and groove, relief grooves, and a baby’s bottom finish on top
of all our flooring. In 2007, we added a state of the art custom corbel
saw. Rafter tails, corbels, gussets, and any decorative scrolling are no
problem for this machine. The quality and consistency with which this saw
cuts has enabled us produce up to 400 corbels in a day. If you want a
rafter tail cut on the end of an 8x12-24’, we can do it.
The pattern we run our flooring
to
is an offset tongue and groove so that you get more sanding and finishing
life out of your floor. The final step to our milling is a square cut
defecting saw and a live counter that calculates the quantity produced
down to the ¼”.
We also offer our milling service on wood you provide
to us. Many people have
cut timber off their property and want to use it in their home. We have
the ability to cut your logs, dry them, and mill them however you like.
Use one of our patterns, or send us yours and we can cut it.
