Western Red Cedar

Our fresh cut Western Red Cedar timbers are brought in from British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest region. Since they are fresh cut, we can mill these timbers into any size you desire. Western Red Cedar has a reddish brown tint to it and is a very nice option for interior beams as well as exterior applications.

For fresh cut beams Douglas Fir is the undisputed champion. Fir has great strength and load capacities which make it ideal for exposed beams in rooms with long spans. Fir takes stain well and ranges in color from blonde to a dark orange.

About half of the Cypress lumber comes from the Southern States and about a fourth from the South Atlantic States. Sapwood of bald cypress is narrow and nearly white, while the color of heartwood varies widely. The versatility of Cypress allows you to use it as exposed beams, wainscoting, ceilings, and even flooring.

Pecky Ponderosa Pine

Pecky Ponderosa Pine is an affordable option for wainscoting and ceiling material. It is too soft to be used as flooring and is only available in 1” lumber. This Ponderosa Pine has a great deal of mineral streaking in it so the color will vary greatly, while the pecky effect adds even more character.

Southern Yellow Pine

Southern Yellow Pine is the cornerstone of our country’s building industry. Our inventory of Yellow Pine consists of timbers only (3”x12” and larger). The biggest attraction to pine is certainly the cost and availability. Pine is generally blonde in color and takes stain very well.
