Kentucky Poplar is one of the most unique reclaimed wood products carried by The Woodshop of Texas. As you may have already guessed this product is reclaimed from barns in Kentucky and bordering states. 

Poplar was commonly used in large horse farms in the hills of Kentucky. It was also used in historic plantation homes on the floors, walls and ceilings. When Kentucky Poplar is first cut it is green in color. Over the course of time it turns a rich golden brown color. 

Reclaimed Poplar is a very soft floor, so it will become dimpled in high traffic areas. Many of our customers tell us that the more beat up it gets, the better it looks.
